The official Bosley Store where hair loss treatments can be purchased is located at Bosley.com.

Advancements in hair restoration and treatments have moved quickly with many of these advancements pioneered by Bosley over the last 38 years.

Bosley has performed more hair loss treatments than any other medical group in the world.

One of the most recent advancements in permanent hair restoration is the Follicular Unit Extraction or FUE technique.

With this technique, individual hair follicles that contain anywhere from 1-3 follicles are transplanted from the donor area to the recipient areas (in men this is typically around the temples and crown of the head). This procedure differs from the FUT procedure where a complete donor strip is removed then the follicles are dissected microscopically.

The FUT procedure can result in a scar that is typically thin and fine while being easily concealed by the remaining hair.

The FUE and FUT procedures provide a solution that is permanent while other hair loss treatments could be part of your complete treatment plan as decided by you and your Bosley physician.  These treatments include the Bosley LaserComb, Propecia® and Minoxidil.

Propecia® is a prescription drug for men only that is taken on a daily basis as a pill.  Propecia® can help you keep the hair you have but will not bring back the hair you’ve already lost.  If the prescription drug is not taken daily or usage stops, any results will be lost.

Propecia® could be helpful in combination with Bosley permanent hair restoration.

The Bosley LaserComb is the latest addition to FDA approved hair loss treatments.  The LaserComb is the only FDA approved hair loss treatment that is a medical device.

The Bosley LaserComb is a hand-held device that is applied to thinning areas for 10-15 minutes, three times per week.  This device is not ideal for advanced hair loss treatment but is a convenient method to obtain the best results from permanent hair restoration surgery or for those in the earliest stages of hair loss.

Minoxidil is the most common treatment for hair loss.  Minoxidil is part of Bosley Professional Strength for Men and Professional Strength for Women, 5-step systems that include Nourishing Shampoo, Volumizing Conditioner, Hair Regrowth Treatment, Dietary Supplement, and Follicle Energizer.
