Your initial consultation will include a free hair and scalp analysis.  This analysis uses powerful magnification and is designed to provide insight into the extent of your current hair loss, potential for future hair loss and importance of “donor hair” in a permanent hair restoration procedure.

You’ve probably noticed in men that even when bald or thinning, they retain the hair on the sides and back of the head.  These hairs and follicles are resistant to the hormone dihydrotestosterone (DHT), the primary cause of male-pattern hair loss (androgenetic alopecia).  Androgenetic alopecia is where the hair thins around the temples and crown of the head.

Given their resistance to DHT, these hairs and follicles are used as the “donor hair”.  When transplanted they retain this resistance and will essentially continue to grow forever where genetically sensitive hair failed.
