Your consultation with a Senior Counselor will generally take less than an hour.  Feel free to bring a spouse, relative or friend.  During your consultation the counselor will answer your general questions on the causes of hair loss, treatment options and a typical range of cost, which allows you evaluate the services provided by Bosley.

Recently added to your initial consultation is a free hair and scalp analysis.  This analysis with its powerful magnification provides insight into the extent of your current hair loss, the potential for future hair loss and the importance of donor hair.

Bosley physicians are available at regional surgical offices only and generally by appointment.  Your appointment takes place in a confidential and cordial atmosphere.  The doctor will review your medical history, diagnose your genetic pattern of hair loss and provide answers to your questions.

Only a Bosley physician can determine that you are a suitable candidate for permanent hair restoration and provide a definitive answer on the final cost of the procedure.  Cost is dependent on several factors but primarily the number of individual grafts used in the procedure.  Read more on the cost of hair restoration.

Men and women can benefit from permanent hair restoration.  Not everyone is a candidate for hair restoration but many women and the great majority of men are.  In a relatively small number of cases there are those that for one medical reason or another will not be a suitable candidate for the procedure.  If the doctor has determined that you are not a candidate, he or she will explain the reason for their opinion.

Bosley permanent hair restoration is a remarkably simple outpatient procedure done in a private treatment room.  Given the anesthesia is local, you’ll have the option to read a book, listen to music, watch television or even a recent film from the video library.  Some patients elect to meditate or take a short nap during the procedure.
