What is the price of a permanent hair restoration procedure?
Bosley Medical

Their are several variables that determine the final cost of your hair transplant procedure.

The degree of hair loss obviously helps to determine the amount of hair to be restored, though some patients elect to address hair loss in a particular area.  Examples are the hairline and crown where many men begin to thin.  Others may choose to add overall coverage to a larger area.

The Bosley Patient Gallery features before and after pictures of men and women with varying degrees of initial hair loss and their results after permanent hair restoration.  For women, the Ludwig Scale is used while the Norwood Scale is used for men to illustrate degrees of pattern hair loss.

One major variable in determining the cost of your hair restoration procedure is your personal goals.  Two patients  could have nearly identical hair loss while having completely different goals.  During your consultation, your Bosley physician will discuss your hair loss as well as your individual goals to understand what you want to accomplish with the procedure.

Generally speaking, permanent hair restoration is priced by the number of “grafts” in the procedure. Procedures are more expensive the greater the number of grafts, which can be dependant on the level of hair loss, your specific goals, the quality of your hair i.e. coarseness, color and curl, and the donor hair amount.

The timing of your hair restoration is also important.  Many patients use a staged approach to their hair restoration.  This means they undergo small procedures in an effort to reduce cost, others will opt to achieve as much as possible in a single procedure.

The typical Bosley patient will invest anywhere from four thousand to twelve thousand dollars for a procedure.

To help manage out-of-pocket costs, Bosley offers financing for hair restoration procedures through Care Credit. You can apply on-line with Care Credit directly or to learn more about Care Credit financing, call
