“That is the power of hair.”  This statement was made to a Bosley patient by a Senior Counselor in reference to his ultimate result of looking younger now than he did sixteen years ago.

The gentleman featured in the New Yorker article was just 27 years old at the time of the article.  His hair was beginning to recede and he wanted to do something about it.  He opted to visit Bosley of Beverly Hills for his permanent hair restoration procedure.

The patient would receive about fourteen hundred grafts, which was decided between he and the Bosley physician.  Although he is young and beginning to recede, it was his goals that ultimately determined the number of grafts used in the procedure.

The doctor explained during the procedure how it is minor surgery but major artistry.  In fact, permanent hair restoration with Bosley is a simple outpatient procedure with local anaesthetic that typically consumes one half to one full day at the office.

During a procedure careful consideration is taken in the specific grafts that are used for areas of the scalp. Generally speaking, grafts contain between 1-4 hairs.  Grafts with fewer hairs are used toward the front while grafts with more hairs are used toward the middle and crown of the head.  This technique along with the artistic placement i.e. depth and angle, help to create a perfectly natural look and a hairline that is virtually undetectable.
