Hair loss affects men and women.  The FDA estimates that 40 million men and 20 million women experience hair loss.  The pattern of hair loss however, is very different.

Male pattern hair loss shows thinning around the temples and crown of the head while women experience a general thinning behind the hair line.  Though the pattern of hair loss is different, the treatment is similar.

Before and after photos of men and women with varying degrees of initial hair loss and their results after permanent hair restoration can be seen in the Bosley Patient Gallery.  You’ll notice in this gallery hair loss scales, which illustrate the degrees of hair loss for men (Norwood) and women (Ludwig).
