Bosley Medical offers the only permanent solution to hair loss, permanent hair restoration. There are other hair loss treatment options that could be part of a complete treatment program developed by your Bosley physician with you.
Permanent hair restoration involves taking hair and follicles from where you have more than you need and
moving it to areas that are bald or thinning. This remarkably simple outpatient procedure achieves a completely natural look with a hairline that is virtually undetectable.
The microtechnologies and follicular unit techniques used at Bosley Medical create hair restoration so natural, we challenge you to differentiate the transplanted hair from non-transplanted hair.
Each Bosley physician has a minimum of 10 years surgical experience and is trained extensively in the skill and artistry of follicular unit transplantation. In fact, the founder of Bosley Medical, Dr. L Lee Bosley, M.D., still helps to personally select and train the M.D.’s affiliated with the company.
Dr. Bosley performed his first hair restoration procedure in 1963 and since that time has personally performed more than 32,500 procedures. These procedures are comprised of more than 3 million grafts.
Today, Bosley has grown to over 88 convenient locations throughout the U.S., Canada and Mexico. Use the Office Locator to find the location nearest you.
There are other hair loss treatment options that could be part of a complete treatment program that is determined by you and your Bosley physician. These available treatment options have been approved or accepted by the FDA.
Propecia® was approved by the FDA in 1997 and is a prescription medication for men only. Propecia® effectively reduces the formation of DHT, which can help to stop or slow down hair loss. Propecia® will not bring back hair that has already been lost but can help you to keep the hair you have now.
Minoxidil was approved by the FDA in 1988 as a topical solution to treat hair loss. It has been proven in some cases to slow down or help stop hair loss on the vertex of the head. Many men are concerned with frontal hair loss (hair line and temples). Minoxidil has demonstrated little effect in this area.
The latest innovation to be accepted by the FDA for the treatment of hair loss is the Bosley LaserComb. This

Bosley LaserComb
device is the only drug-free treatment for male pattern baldness. The Bosley LaserComb® uses nine individual laser beams with just the right amount of energy to help stimulate hair follicles and promote growth.
This hand-held device is applied to thinning areas for 10-15 minutes, three times per week. The Bosley LaserComb is not an ideal treatment for advanced hair loss but is a convenient method to obtain the best results after permanent hair restoration surgery.
Bosley Senior Counselors are available to answer your general questions on the causes of hair loss, treatment options and to provide a typical range of cost. Only a Bosley physician can determine that you are a candidate for hair restoration surgery and provide you with a definitive answer on cost.
