1.  The Procedure Plan-This is where specific goals and a plan for the procedure are confirmed between doctor and patient.

2.  Anesthesia and Removal of the Donor Hair-A local anaesthetic is used at the sides and back of the head, where the donor strip is removed.  The donor area is then sutured, leaving a very fine, thin scar that is easily concealed by remaining hair.

3.  Follicular unit separation-The skilled surgical staff begins dividing the follicular units, which contain groupings of 1-4 hairs.   

4.  Preparing the recipient sites-While the surgical staff continues to separate the follicular units, local anesthesia is given in the recipient area where the grafts will be placed.  These recipient sites are created by hand with specific depth, angle and location.  It is this skill and artistry that creates a perfectly natural looking hairline.

5.  Graft Placement-Placement of grafts is done one at a time, with smaller groupings of 1-2 hairs toward the front and larger groupings of 3-4 hairs in the top and back.
