How Does Hair Transplantation Work?

A hair transplant is a procedure where hair is taken from where you have more than you need and redistributed to where you need it more.  This artistic redistribution system takes donor-dominant hair follicles from the very back and sides of the head and artfully transplants them to areas of thinning and balding.

What is Permanent Eyebrow Restoration?

Eyebrows can permanently thin due to over-plucking, aging, scarring, a skin condition, or you may have been born without complete eyebrows.  Eyebrow restoration is a permanent solution that suits the needs of both men and women.

How Long Do Transplants Last?

In some cases, a small percentage of the transplanted hair may be lost as the patient ages.  However, in the vast majority of patients, virtually all transplanted hair lasts a lifetime.

Will There be a Scar?

Fibrosis is the process by which skin heals.  Any time human skin is cut, it will go through this process, which is commonly known as scarring.  Due to the technical skill and artistry of Bosley physicians, the healing sites in the transplanted areas are usually so small that the fibrosis is virtually undetectable.

Typically a fine, thin scar remains in the donor area, which is easily covered by your existing hair.  In the great majority of cases, the current microtechnologies used make the restored hairline virtually undetectable.

Can Dr. Bosley Do My Procedure?

Dr. Bosley is available to do your procedure.  However, Dr. Bosley’s fees are higher than those of the other doctors at Bosley.  Fees are higher due to the fact that if Dr. Bosley did not charge more, a great number of people would ask specifically for him, causing the demand to greatly exceed his ability to meet all of the requests.  It does not mean that other Bosley physicians’ skills are less than that of Dr. Bosley.

Are Hair Transplants Available For Women?
